Summary:
Supports the Credit Administration and Executive Management teams through comprehensive financial analytics, risk assessment, and credit-related reporting. This role is critical in ensuring the bank maintains regulatory and operational excellence through proactive management of credit risk, allowance reserves, board reporting, and technology-driven analysis and review. This position partners closely with Lending, Credit, Risk, and Finance teams to support sound credit decisions, policy governance, and portfolio performance monitoring.
Duties:
- Prepare and maintain the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) and Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) models using Abrigo.
- Maintain and update the Loan Policy and related credit administration procedures in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Develop and enhance reporting and dashboards using Business Analytics and Abrigo platforms, ensuring actionable insights for executive and board-level decisions.
- Prepare regulatory filings and supporting documentation for Call Reports.
- Conduct sensitivity and stress testing across the loan portfolio to identify emerging risks and inform strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain the bank’s credit memo templates in Abrigo, ensuring consistency and compliance with underwriting standards.
- Manage special asset portfolio including workout strategies and collection coordination with relationship managers and legal counsel as needed.
- Compile and present board reporting on concentrations, asset quality, loan growth trends, delinquencies, charge-offs, and other credit administration metrics.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, loan review findings, and regulatory exams.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Education Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, credit risk, or credit administration within a bank or financial institution.
- Hands-on experience with Abrigo (formerly Sageworks) software, particularly CECL, portfolio analysis, and credit memo modules.
- Strong understanding of CECL/ACL concepts and regulatory guidance.
- Working knowledge of Call Report preparation and relevant bank reporting regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform loan review, sensitivity analysis, and data-driven reporting.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization or business analytics platforms a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Formal credit training and/or risk certification (e.g., RMA, CRC, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with loan policy creation and maintenance.
- Prior experience in workout, collections, or managing criticized assets.
- Knowledge of portfolio management, credit concentrations, and risk grading systems.
- Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven and accuracy-focused environment.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of data and distill insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience preparing and delivering board-level reports or presentations.
