Gulf Capital Bank is the first new de novo bank in the Houston area since 2008. It will offer walk-in services such as checking and cash management, online banking, mobile deposits, secured and unsecured commercial loans, letters of credit and consumer loans. The Client Services Representative works in the branch and is responsible for deepening relationships by recommending products and services that would benefit potential and existing customers. The CSR is cross trained to provide both Personal Banker and Teller services.
- Provides traditional teller services with accuracy and professionalism, with a warm and friendly demeanor with our clients.
- Selling financial products (e.g., Credit Cards, CD’s, IRA’s,)
- Opening deposit accounts.
- Promote the sale of bank products and make referrals to business partners as appropriate. Develop strong customer relationships and learn to recognize customer needs.
- Responding to customer inquiries and concerns and creating positive solutions.
- Attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy ETC).
- Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are essential.
Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent; Two plus years of retail branch or sales experience. Strong knowledge of competition and product knowledge needed; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve innovative solutions.
Skills and Abilities
Proficient with all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.) Ability to answer detailed customer questions as well as sell bank products and services. Excellent communication skills needed to identify customer needs and explain bank brochures and other bank literature. Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner. maintain a positive and helpful attitude in any situation.
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands/fingers to handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting.
